You believe in Agile. You want to sell it. You are an advisor. You want to be a trusted advisor.

You won't be trusted if you come across like a car salesman. You don't need to manipulate. You won't get away with it anyway.

Read this long, but well-written and utterly fascinating article Confessions of a Car Salesman about an undercover journalist's stint at selling cars and you'll see why car sales-people have such a poor repuation. Hint: they are trying to rip you off.
