This whole experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth.
I bought a Dolce Gusto coffee machine from amazon. It cost £40 which was a really good price (it was one of their lightening deals).
I did my homework before I paid … by reading loads of amazon reviews. They were really positive about the machine (which is fair because the machine is good) and they were really, really positive about the coffee pods. The coffee flavours are - to my taste - mediocre bordering on vile.
This is the first time I've been let down by amazon reviews. It's my fault, I guess, because I thought when people wrote things like "the coffee tastes like the sort of coffee you get in coffee shops" that they meant shops like Costa or Nero or Starbucks. The coffees are unpleasant.
I'm really disappointed. The kids are happy though because the chocochinos are nice.
