1. Three or four years ago I bought a Macbook then returned it because it was too hard to use .. then blogged about it and suffered the polite ridicule of my wiser friends for years to come.
Some people know me as "that guy who returned a macbook and got his money back".
Well, I admit it, I was wrong.
2. I bought a mac just over a year ago so that I could use the Scrivener software. Expensive software - £30 for the App, £1000 for the hardware.
But worth it.
3. I've been trying to figure out why the Mac is better (for me, now that I've figured out how to use it). On one level … it's the trackpad. On the other … it's just that the MacBook Air is soooooo light and easy to use and astoundingly fast.
Maybe, it's also that nowadays I feel like I can afford it.
But it's more than that.
4. Last year I got driven around Dubai in a Lexus.
If you want to know why Macs are better than Window's machines: take a drive in a lexus, then take a drive in an ordinary car. It's the same thing.
