1. A few years ago my Dad got false teeth. The first step before he got false teeth was for the dentist to remove all of his old teeth. Ouch.
I rang him just after he'd visited the dentist and it turned out the dentist had pulled all of the teeth except one.
I said, "So you've got just ONE TOOTH?"
He said, "YEP. And my mouth really hurts." (He didn't say the word 'really', but this is a family blog).
I said, 'Are you taking painkillers?'
'Yes. And it still hurts.'
I said, 'Have you tried rinsing your mouth with warm, salty water?'
'No. D'ya think that'll help?'
I said I did and that, maybe, he could good mouth rinse from the supermarket.
'Right.', he said, very matter-of-factly. 'Any other suggestions?'
I thought a bit. Nothing came to mind.
Then I thought a bit more and I remembered something that had helped me, in the past, when I had sore gums.
'Oh … there's one more thing', I said, tentatively.
"What's that?"
"Have you tried flossing?"

2. I will, in coming months, share a lot of suggestions, thoughts and opinions about how to do Agile and TOC in software development.
Please don't take them all too seriously.
