I'm getting closer and closer to completing the fourth quarter of rolling rocks downhill. I'll need at least one quick rewrite before it is suitable to put before the general public with the beta label removed. I've had a lot of very positive feedback based on the beta version of the book, so I'm feeling quite good about the whole process.
But… I'm stuck on one question: should I self publish or should I seek out a publisher?
If you don't know the history of my book, I spent eight years writing it now and about three years ago I got a contract with the pragmatic press, but I was just way, way too slow at rewriting, and we "tore up" the contract on the understanding that if and when I finished my rewriting I might give them a call. I am now at the point where I need to decide should I make that call, should I seek out another publisher, or should I hire myself an editor and a cover designer and self publish?
I am wondering what you think? AND if I were to seek out another publisher, who would you recommend?
