If you don't live in the UK then press the space bar now...
One of my favorite movies ever is on FilmFour tonight at 7pm.
It's a very gentle, humorous movie called "The Dish". It's set in a small Australian town during the week of the first moon landing. Just outside the town is a satellite dish which plays a key role in tracking the orbiting space craft.
It's the sort of movie you wouldn't watch unless you had a recommendation ... and then you'll be pleased you did.
Please note: I'm a New Zealander so typing this recommendation about an Australian movie is causing me actual physical pain. It is worth it though if just one of you takes my recommendation.
trivia note: Although this is an Australian movie it was actually filmed in New Zealand and all of the actors were New Zealanders, except for the ugly Australian sheep you can sometimes see in the background shots - they were imported to give the movie the illusion of authenticity.
