I used to frequently use Scoot.co.uk to get movie times. Their main purpose is as an alternative to the yellow/golden pages – they make their money by charging businesses to advertise on their site.
But now the site has been down now for “maintanence” for 2 – 3 weeks. And, they’ve added a very kind alternative of a 50p per minute telephone line that you can ring instead.
Is the site truly down for “maintenance”?
Or is just a ploy to get people to call the EXPENSIVE phone service?
I wonder how much money they’ve made … I’m annoyed enough that I’m boycotting their entire site.
