A friend came to visit for the weekend.
I noticed a pattern:
- I tell him something interesitng.
- He says, “Yes, I read about it in your blog”
- go to step 1
Scary … do I only have finite amount of interestingness and I’m now using it all up in my blog?

Interest...so far I've got around this problem so far by not largely telling my friends I exist in the blogosphere. Compartamentalization, if you will - different discussions for different social circles.
This noted, if blogs make your life an open book to some extent, it follows that people still have to read it. Another potential problem then - some won't bother, and then you'll be in a position where you'll not want to talk about certain topics as they'll feel redundant to you, or you'll jump into a topic assuming a higher level of contextual understanding than your friends might possess.
