Thoughts via Winnie the Pooh

Here's a Winnie the Pooh quote that seems quite pertinent to all wannabe paradigm changers: Here is Edward Bear, coming downstairs now, bump, bump, bump, on the back of his head. It is, as far as he knows, the only way of coming downstairs, but sometimes he feels that there really is another way, if only he could stop bumping for a moment and think of it. And then he feels that perhaps there isn't. -- A. A. Milne [via a Ron Jeffries email signature]

I just read the phrase "paradigm shift" used in in 7 Habits of Highly Effective People as if it was a new thing... Kinda wierd.

I wonder whether it's about causing a change in paradigm or whether it's about clarifying what the current paradigm is and then waiting for the resulting change.
