David Anderston has a nice brief post on using the socratic method.
One of the big "things" about the Theory of Constraints is using the "Socratic Method" - where a "clever" person leads the not quite so "clever" person to a "clever" conclusion, just by asking questions.
Here's an class room example here.
The technique is named after Socrates who used it years ago in some famous plays by Pluto, the famous disney character. Socrates, himself, also invented Soccer and was sentenced to death by his countrymen because his question technique annoyed so many people. They considered him such an arogant smarty pants that they made him take poison.
